Start the holiday weekend in downtown St. Marys.
Start Labor Day weekend in downtown St. Marys with the Standing Watch 5K, a free community run and walk presented by Everbrew in support of The Veterans Phalanx.
Whether you are running, walking, training, or simply looking for a meaningful way to begin the holiday weekend, you are invited to join us.
This is a non-timed community 5K focused on movement, connection, and bringing people together around a shared mission.
Registration is free. Optional donations support The Veterans Phalanx and the work we continue throughout the veteran community.

This event is designed for runners, walkers, training groups, families, and community members of all experience levels.
What to Expect
A relaxed morning built for community.
A Community Run and Walk
This is not an officially timed or scored race. Participants are welcome to run, jog, walk, or use the morning as part of their regular training.
Coffee and Refreshments
Everbrew will be on-site selling pre-race coffee and post-race refreshments.
Water for Participants
The Veterans Phalanx will provide complimentary bottled water for participants.
Official Event Shirts
Everbrew will sell official Standing Watch 5K shirts and donate a portion of the proceeds to The Veterans Phalanx. Event sponsors will be recognized on the back of the shirt.
The Course
5K through downtown St. Marys.
Participants should review the course before event morning. Additional day-of instructions will be shared with registered participants as the event approaches.
Why Standing Watch
Communities look out for their own.
Standing Watch is a community-based veteran suicide-prevention program developed by The Veterans Phalanx.
It prepares the people surrounding veterans and service members to notice concern, respond with dignity, and help connect someone with trusted support.
The Standing Watch 5K brings that same idea into motion: stronger communities are built when people show up, stay connected, and look out for one another.
