The Muster is a recurring social connection initiative of The Veterans Phalanx that brings veterans, supporters, and community members together in welcoming local spaces to build camaraderie, strengthen relationships, and create a stronger sense of belonging.
Overview
For many veterans, one of the hardest things to replace after service is the simple act of being around people who understand. Not every need starts with a crisis. Sometimes what matters most is having a place to show up, be around good people, and stay connected to community. The Muster exists to create that space.
This program is built on a simple idea: community is strengthened when people come together consistently.
The Muster is intentionally simple. It is about showing up, meeting people, building trust, and creating a community that feels real and lasting.
Strong communities are not built only through programs and services. They are also built through familiarity, trust, and regular connection. The Muster creates a low-pressure environment where people can gather consistently and build those relationships over time.
The Muster is designed for veterans who want connection and camaraderie, as well as for families, supporters, and community members who want to stand alongside them. It also serves local businesses by creating meaningful partnership opportunities and bringing people into their spaces.
Through The Muster, The Veterans Phalanx partners with local bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and other community spaces to host informal gatherings that bring people together in a relaxed and approachable setting. Sometimes the first step toward deeper connection is simply having a place to gather.
